Sylvester Gates

Sylvester Gates was a journalist, probably American, and certainly a graduate of Harvard, who championed the case of Sacco and Vanzetti by reviewing in The New Republic, in highly favourable terms, a 1931 study of the case. Other than that I have more to find out.
